Last month, I celebrated my 20th year anniversary at Chapman University. Having started as the director of alumni and parent relations and later transitioning into legacy planning, I truly feel fortunate to be a part of the Chapman Family. April also marked the 10th year that Lindsey Jacobs has worked in legacy planning at Chapman University. She started as a development assistant and is now our associate director. She’s the best hire of my 30-year career, and I say that knowing that I have hired some pretty incredible people through the decades. Our 20 and 10 years of service, however, pale in comparison to President-emeritus Jim Doti, who started teaching at Chapman 50 years ago in 1974. Wow! That’s just the kind of special place that Chapman University is for all of us. We love the mission, the people and the promise for the future. The culminating event each year is commencement and all the related activities taking place in the month of May. If you know any graduating seniors or graduate students, contact me so I can see if I might be able to arrange preferred seating for you and the student’s family. You can reply to this email, or call/text my cell phone: (714) 392-6358.
